Dad is out of surgery and in recovery. The doctors decided the cons of having the "Whipple Surgery" out weighed the pros to have it done. His cancer is a stage III and they will try to control the growth of the cancer with chemo and radiation. He may be in the hospital for up to 5 days but knowing dad he will work on getting out of there as soon as possible. The doctor said he is a real strong man. Duh! We all knew that already.
