Naturally, we are all wanting to know how Bobs health is..

Mom N Dad

Mom N Dad

Main

I know he loves hearing from everyone.. but even dad has a limit to how many times he can tell a tale.So Rachael came up with the idea to start a blog with updates as they come along.

Today has been dealing with insurance companies.. Trying to find a Doctor who takes their insurance.. Insurance Companies are evil.. More evil than Jell-o

Other than the mind games, that a cruel diagnosis brings.. Dad, two days out of the hospital was up on a ladder, scrapping paint.

Posting From Rachael

Disappointing day
It has been a hard day on all of us..
Dad is not bouncing back like we are use to him doing.
His heart rate is erratic, they gave him insulin, and his kidneys are shutting down.
The doctor is thinking he might need dialysis. His spirits are low. He still hasn't been allowed to even sit up. Anyone who knows Dad, knows he has a hard time staying still.
He hasn't had anything to drink since Thursday. Nothing to eat since Wednesday. He is thirsty, hungry, hurting, sad and gets mad at himself because he is cranky.

Even this didn't make him laugh.
Thanks for all the pictures sent our way.. I know that when he feels better he will see the humor. He is just so miserable right now, that he lost his ability to laugh.
He worries about everyone and hates that he is causing angst.
Mom is trying to be brave... but it is not always easy..
The hospitals impassive attitude is starting to get to us all.. His nurse over rules everything that sounds good to us e.g.  Giving him nutrients via IV...  letting him move around.. giving him a damned ice chip..
Here is hoping that tomorrow is a better day.
